Stanton Institute participates in Innovative Urbanisation Training for Shandong Leaders
The Government of South Australia and the Shandong Peoples government signed a Memorandum of Understanding in May 2015 to collaborate in Innovative Urbanisation Training for Shandong Leaders. Through this arrangement, the Shandong regional leaders will learn about the delivery and management of city infrastructure and services from an Australian perspective.
The first group of 20 Shandong County Mayors travelled to Adelaide in September to participate in a 21-day training program coordinated by the Department of State Development.
Stanton Institute was delighted to be invited to provide a lecture on the provision of welfare services to the group. Muriel Kirkby, Acting Director, Stanton Institute developed and delivered the session entitled 'Social Welfare & Community Services'.
